CASE FILE 001 — MARK & DEBBY CONSTANTINO

Mark and Debby Constantino were well-known paranormal investigators who specialized in Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP), attempting to capture unexplained voices through audio recordings at reportedly haunted locations. Their work brought them into the public eye through numerous appearances on Ghost Adventures, where they became familiar faces to paranormal enthusiasts. But behind the investigations and television appearances, their personal relationship had become increasingly troubled, with a documented history of domestic violence and an impending divorce. On September 22, 2015, their story ended tragically in Nevada: Debby’s roommate, James Anderson, was found shot to death in Reno, and investigators subsequently located Debby and Mark at an apartment in Sparks. After an armed hostage standoff with police, both were found dead from gunshot wounds; later accounts identified the deaths as a murder-suicide, with Mark identified as the perpetrator. Behind the Hauntings will examine the events leading up to that final day, the troubled relationship hidden behind their public paranormal careers, and how two investigators known for searching for answers about death ultimately became the subjects of a disturbing real-life case of their own.
