Angelology

Angelology is the study of angels—their nature, purpose, hierarchy, and role within religious tradition. Most commonly associated with Jewish and Christian theology, it examines how angels are described in sacred texts, the different orders attributed to them, and their relationship with God and humanity.

The purpose of angelology is to better understand these spiritual beings as messengers, servants, protectors, and agents of divine will. It also explores the distinction between faithful angels and those traditionally believed to have fallen, providing an important foundation for understanding the broader spiritual world described throughout Scripture and religious tradition.
